This Summer Day camp runs Monday through Thursday; 9:30am-12:30pm.

Enroll your daughters (sons at Schaumburg and Des Plaines only) for learning and fun this summer as “Camp Busy Bees” maximizes the Islamic and academic abilities of our children. This Day Camp is a four-week summer program that serves Muslim Youth entering grades 1st through 8th.  By popular demand, we are entering into our seventh summer of operation!

This summer’s focus will be “The Moon”.  The moon has been marveled by all of humanity since antiquity. While this miraculous ball in the sky has caught the attention of so many, there is a lot of mention of this timeless wonder in the Quran and ahadith.  The moon’s function, which is to provide a guide for our sense of time, and magnificent beauty will be explored during camp.  Campers will record moon observations, delve into Islamic literature that incorporate the moon, and study the lunar calendar based on the patterns of celestial orbits.  These are just a few of the enriching yet exciting activities that will keep our children buzzing with learning and fun this summer.

Participants will become equipped with a strong sense of identity, an increased level of confidence, and an appreciation of Quranic knowledge. Students will come to realize that practical Islam can be fun and even more worthwhile than other popular or commercial ways of passing time.

Students will also memorize short chapters [surahs] of the Holy Quran. Memorizing prepares the brain for in-depth learning as well as incurs the blessings of Allah (SWT). Research has proven that rote memorization increases dendritic connections of the brain, which allows for more information to be stored. Just like a refrigerator that has many compartments holds more food; so does the mind retain information when it memorizes. Often, this increase in brain usage significantly impacts students’ performance in all subjects throughout varying academic settings.

Camp Busy Bees

Camp Busy Bees is a camp that exposes Muslim youth from all areas of Chicago to Quran, hadith, and dua' memorization. The purpose of this camp is to give Muslim youth the opportunity to maximize their inherent Islamic and academic capabilities through educational activities that bridge secular education with discussion of Allah (swt). We hope to provide Muslim youth an outlet in which they can create life-long bonds, memorize Quran, and find a practical application of Islam in their everday life.
